This one-on-one training program is for those who want maximum results without the guess work of a starting point, exercise plateaus, nutrition plans, and energy balance.  A certified personal trainer will begin this process with a initial assessment.  In Initial Assessment, weight, body measurements, Body Mass Index (BMI) and body fat percentage will be recorded.  For athletes, a strength, speed or flexibility test may be administered as well. Exercises are based upon your like/dislikes, ability, physical limitations (if any) and projected outcome.

CALEB HAHNE

Hello, my name is Caleb. I am a certified personal trainer through the NSCA. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science along with a minor in nutrition at Wayne St. College. I played one year of college football at Morningside College, then went on and played 2 years of semi-professional football with the Nebraska Lawndawgs out of Norfolk, NE. I love playing almost any sport!

I enjoy training a wide variety of people and will make programs, specifically designed for your goals. Whether it's to lose weight, become more athletic, or to just do daily activities, I will be able to help you! With my sports background, I enjoy working with athletes to make them the best they can be.

My passion is helping people no matter what goals they might have. I look forward to helping you meet your goals and live a healthy lifestyle

I have been a member of the YMCA for many years and fell in love with living a fit life. I began as an inactive mother of 4 children then decided to start running as a challenge to myself. What started as a goal to run my first 5k ended up as a goal to run a marathon within a year. Since that first marathon, I have run three more full marathons and other shorter races along the way.

Meeting my own personal goals and watching others inspired me to become a fitness instructor at the YMCA. For the past 3 years, I have taught cycling, FIT, HIIT, Insanity, and more. I have multiple fitness certifications. I love challenging my classes to push harder every day - helping them to see we are all stronger than we realize! I believe that everyone can meet their fitness goals with lots of encouragement and accountability.

I am now thrilled to begin my Personal Training journey. Training for your fitness goals can be fun and challenging. Whether you are new to fitness or more experienced, I believe in options for every fitness level. From the young athlete to the active older adult, let's work together for a fitter, healthier you!

NERY SHAFER

Hi, my name is Anneris Shafer, but everybody calls me Nery. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I graduated in 1991 from the University of Manuel Fajardo in Cuba. My Bachelor's degree is in Sport Education and PE teacher. I'm also certified as a Personal Trainer back in Cuba, and a Health and Life Coach (CHC) at the Health Coach Institute here in the USA. I have been teaching group classes at the Hastings YMCA for many years, as a Zumba and Glute and Abs instructor. I feel a deep passion for helping others to achieve their health and fitness goals in their own unique way; "Everybody is different, and your body and mind is your own Universe".

If you choose to work with me, I will focus on your own needs and your health goals. I will listen very carefully to your personal needs, and what you want to focus on while teaching you how to own your body and mind, regardless of what goals you might have. The purpose of me working with you is to help you reach your goals and find your balance in life.

I will make your workout fun, different, and intense. In other words we will have a love/hate relationship! My intention is for you to start loving this new habit that you choose for your new journey, without judging you. I will embrace your journey as my own.
