Personal Training

  2. Email your personal trainer to get started!

This one-on-one training program is for those who want maximum results without the guess work of a starting point, exercise plateaus, nutrition plans, and energy balance.  A certified personal trainer will begin this process with a initial assessment.  In Initial Assessment, weight, body measurements, Body Mass Index (BMI) and body fat percentage will be recorded.  For athletes, a strength, speed or flexibility test may be administered as well. Exercises are based upon your like/dislikes, ability, physical limitations (if any) and projected outcome.

Hello, my name is Caleb. I am a certified personal trainer through the NSCA. I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science along with a minor in nutrition at Wayne St. College. I played one year of college football at Morningside College, then went on and played 2 years of semi-professional football with the Nebraska Lawndawgs out of Norfolk, NE. I love playing almost any sport!

I enjoy training a wide variety of people and will make programs, specifically designed for your goals. Whether it's to lose weight, become more athletic, or to just do daily activities, I will be able to help you! With my sports background, I enjoy working with athletes to make them the best they can be.

My passion is helping people no matter what goals they might have. I look forward to helping you meet your goals and live a healthy lifestyle

I have been a member of the YMCA for many years and fell in love with living a fit life. I began as an inactive mother of 4 children then decided to start running as a challenge to myself. What started as a goal to run my first 5k ended up as a goal to run a marathon within a year. Since that first marathon, I have run three more full marathons and other shorter races along the way.

Meeting my own personal goals and watching others inspired me to become a fitness instructor at the YMCA. For the past 3 years, I have taught cycling, FIT, HIIT, Insanity, and more. I have multiple fitness certifications. I love challenging my classes to push harder every day - helping them to see we are all stronger than we realize! I believe that everyone can meet their fitness goals with lots of encouragement and accountability.

I am now thrilled to begin my Personal Training journey. Training for your fitness goals can be fun and challenging. Whether you are new to fitness or more experienced, I believe in options for every fitness level. From the young athlete to the active older adult, let's work together for a fitter, healthier you!

After being overweight my entire childhood, I reached obesity in college. My problem was that I loved food but didn't like the old-fashioned kind of mentality my teachers used in PE and sports. It was all push, push, push, with boring moves that my unconditioned body wasn't ready for. My mindset has always been, "If it's not fun, what's the point?" You may have your health, but you're not happy.

It wasn't until I was an adult that I realized fitness can be fun. For me, it was doing enjoyable activities and being with friends. Energizing music, group classes, fun moves, games, and challenges - these are things that appeal to me. True, it's not always fun and games. Sometimes you have to learn to like something to enjoy it.

I'm certified through ACE as a Personal Trainer, and I hold a variety of other certifications for group fitness classes. Given my history with weight etc, I have an intimate understanding of that lifestyle, and the difficulty people have getting healthy and making a change. My aim is to help everyone reach their goals, whatever they may be, and have as much fun as possible along the way.

  1. Goal Achievement
A personal trainer helps you define your fitness goals. She/he takes into account your current fitness level and discusses what you want to achieve through your workouts.
  2. Personalized Workout
Personal trainers create a specific workout plan just for you based on what you want to achieve. The personalized plan typically gives you better results than a general workout plan.
  3. Instruction
A personal trainer teaches you the proper way to perform each exercise movement in your routine. She/he often demonstrates the movement and watches you perform it so she/he can correct any issues with your posture or technique. This instruction helps eliminate gym injuries which often occur due to completing exercises with improper form.
  4. Motivation
Motivation is often difficult to maintain when you exercise on your own. Regular sessions with a personal trainer enhance your motivation to continue with a workout regimen.
  5. Accountability
Another common problem is lack of commitment to a regular exercise program. When you exercise on your own, it is easier to skip a session here and there or fall off the wagon completely since there's no one to hold you accountable for your actions.
  6. Variety
An experienced trainer teaches you a variety of exercise methods, which can keep you from getting bored. Also, if a specific exercise does not work for you, the trainer can change it to one that suits you better and provides the same physical benefits.
  7. Efficiency
A professional personal trainer is able to make the most of your workout time, which increases the efficiency of your exercise program. This is especially beneficial when you have a limited amount of time to exercise.
