Jr. Bronco Flag Football Recreational League

Welcome to the YMCA Jr. Bronco Youth Flag Football League! At the Y, we believe in giving every child the opportunity to play sports, regardless of skill level and experience. The YMCA follows an "everyone plays" motto during the season where every player receives equal practice time and plays at least half of every game. As part of a team, everyone contributes to the team's success. Our youth flag football league is dedicated to building skills, growing character, and learning what it means to be a true sportsman. Our programs are driven by volunteer coaches and positive role models. The Jr. Bronco Flag Football League is a partnership with Hastings College, to offer a special experience to participants. With your registration, you’ll receive a Hastings College VIP Pass to get into HC athletic events for the season and a FREE Jr. Bronco jersey!

Fall Season

  • Divisions:
    1st-2nd, 3rd-4th
  • Games:
    Teams will be scheduled to play 6 games and will play on Sunday afternoons.
  • Cancelations: If a game is canceled due to weather, it will be made up during the evening of the following week. Pending weather forecast.
  • Registration Opens:
    July 13th - August 31st, 2018
  • Registration Deadline:
    August 31st, 2018. $10 late fee after the deadline
  • Cost:
    $35 for members and $55 for non-members
  • Dates:
    September 16th, 2018 - October 21st, 2018
  • Location:
    HHS Practice Fields
  • Coach's Meeting:
    September 6th, 7:00 pm at the 18th St. YMCA
  • Equipment:
    Mouth guards are recommended, rubber cleats (only) may be worn, no jewelry is allowed. Jerseys will be given to players prior to the first game.

Spring Season

  • Divisions:
    1st-2nd, 3rd-4th
  • Games:
    Teams will be scheduled to play 6 games and will play on Sunday afternoons.
  • Rain Date:
    The make up date for a rainout will be May 20. *Only one game will be made up*
  • Registration:
    February 2 - March 23
  • Cost:
    $35 for members and $55 for non-members
  • Deadline:
    March 23, $10 late fee after the deadline
  • Dates:
    April 8 - May 13
  • Location:
    HHS Practice Fields
  • Coach's Meeting:
    Thursday, March 29, 7 pm, at 18th St YMCA.
  • Equipment:
    Mouth guards are recommended, rubber cleats (only) may be worn, no jewelry is allowed. Jerseys will be given to players prior to the first game.
