JR. BRONCO VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

Welcome to the YMCA Jr. Bronco Youth Volleyball League! At the Y, we believe in giving every child the opportunity to play sports, regardless of skill level and experience. The YMCA follows an "everyone plays" motto during the season where every player receives equal practice time and plays at least half of every game. As part of a team, everyone contributes to the team's success. Our youth volleyball league is dedicated to building skills, growing character, and learning what it means to be a true sportsman. Our programs are driven by volunteer coaches and positive role models.

"Our kids (age 6 & 8) have recently participated in the Y’s volleyball league. They said they enjoyed learning VB skills from fun coaches and especially playing games with VB skills integrated. COACHES NEEDED

Our programs are driven by volunteer coaches and positive role models. The YMCA is always looking for coaches; if you are interested, please specify on the registration form.

2024 SPRING SEASON

  • Dates: Sundays, April 14, May 12, 2024
    (No games on Easter)
  • Divisions: 1st - 2nd, 3rd - 4th, 5th - 6th
  • Registration Opens: February 9, 2024
  • Registration Deadline: March 29, 2024
  • Cost: $41 members  |  $61 non-members  |  $10 late fee
  • Location: 18th St. YMCA
  • Coach's Meeting: April 4, 7:00 pm
  • Parent's Meeting: April 3, 6:00 pm
  • Equipment: Knee pads are recommended, tennis/gym shoes. No jewelry is allowed. Jerseys will be given to each player prior to the first game.

NEW: ORGANIZED PRACTICES

Led by former Hastings College and Adams Central volleyball players, this FREE practice is like a clinic for players and will work on various aspects of the game and improve skills. The practice will be grouped by teams. Just show up, have fun, and learn! Coaches, this is an opportunity for you to have someone else coach practices and also learn how you can do it yourself!

 

PRACTICE SCHEDULE

Every Wednesday during the season:

  • 3rd - 4th grades: 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm
  • 5th - 6th grades: 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
  • At the YMCA

2024 FALL SEASON

  • Season Dates: September 15 - October 13, 2024
    Sunday Afternoon
