The Hastings Family YMCA capital project is almost ⅓ of the way complete, but we are still seeking donations to help complete the project. The YMCA is kicking off a fundraising initiative to raise the remaining $950,000 needed to fully fund the renovation and expansion project.
“With the cost of materials continuing to remain high, and interest rates almost doubling, we need to raise some additional money to fully fund the capital project,” stated Troy Stickels, CEO of the Hastings Family YMCA. “We are committed to raising 100% of the funds needed to complete this project. We do not want to incur any long-term debt and so we are asking the community to help us raise $950,000.”
The Hastings Family YMCA officially broke ground in June, 2021 on a $20 million capital project to renovate and expand the 16th Street YMCA. This 90,000 square foot facility will include a complete remodel of the current facility, a new gymnasium/walking track addition on the East side, remodeled swimming pool, a new early childhood education center, and much more.
