YOU could help save a life, just Like Baylee!

YOU Could Help Save a Life!

At the YMCA a part of our mission is to train people how to respond to and prepare for emergencies. We offer CPR certification and first aid classes to not only our YMCA staff but the entire community! Classes include Red Cross CPR and First Aid certifications that can help you provide assistance when someone is faced with a cardiac or breathing emergency.

“Baylee, one of our lifeguards at the Hastings YMCA, was at the grocery store when a 94 year old man collapsed in an aisle.  Baylee with the help of a few others had to do full out CPR for 15 minutes or so.  There were a couple nurses from Mary Lanning that helped her before the EMT’s arrived.  She had to deal with a very weak pulse, agonal breathing, and having no AED! Her knowledge from her CPR and First Aid training helped save this guy’s life! I am so proud of Baylee!” – Lynn Eddy, Aquatics Director and CPR/First Aid Instructor.

Not only is Baylee prepared to look after the lives of people in the pool, but her training helps others outside of the YMCA in our community!

Designed and taught by experts, CPR certification courses are OSHA compliant, affordable, and fun! You could help impact the lives of others and strengthen our community through your certification!

Sign up to take CPR and First Aid classes at the YMCA, or we will bring the experts to your business for your entire staff to learn!
