YMCA Reopening

WELCOME BACK!

We are so excited to be reopening our facilities to YMCA members beginning May 20!

Below you will find details and guidelines of our facility operations and what you can expect during your visit. Our operations won't be completely back to normal right away so we encourage members to plan your visit with the details below before coming to the YMCA!

Things look a little different right now so plan your visit first with the information below!

16TH STREET
  • Monday - Friday: 6:00 am - 8:00 pm
  • Pool: 6:00 am - 6:00 pm (by appt only)
FACILITY OPERATIONS & GUIDELINES:
  • Members only: No Guest Passes, temporary memberships, or Nationwide memberships.
  • Only members 16+ are allowed in the facility at this time.
  • All cardio equipment will be located on the 16th St. gym floor in order to maintain space between each machine.
    • No basketball at this time.
  • Pool is available by appointment only.
  • Drinking stations are open but not for refills of personal water bottles. (disposable cups available)
  • No towel service available.

AMENITIES CLOSED:
  • Basketball courts
  • Locker rooms, hot tub, sauna, and steam room.
  • Walking track & upstairs fitness area.
    • The 16th St. gym will be used for walking laps.
  • Pool by appointment only
  • Social area will be available with 6ft a part guidelines.
    • No coffee available.
  • Racquetball courts
18TH STREET
  • Monday - Friday: 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
  • Saturday: 7:00 am - Noon
FACILITY OPERATIONS & GUIDELINES:
  • All areas of 18th St. are closed except: Weight Room, Cardio deck, & Aerobics is available in the facility.
  • Members only: No Guest Passes, temporary memberships, or Nationwide memberships.
  • Only members 16+ are allowed in the facility at this time.
  • 1 hours time limit for workouts.
  • A limit of 10 people at a time in the weight room.
  • Drinking stations are open but not for refills of personal water bottles. (disposable cups available)
  • No towel service available.
  • No bathrooms will be available. (porta-potty outside of mini-golf if needed)

CLASS GUIDELINES

  • Fitness classes are for active members only.
  • Participants must reserve a spot in class. No one will be allowed to attend class if you did not sign up prior.
  • Classes will be limited to 10 participants.
  • Each class participant will have a designated space in order to maintain distance from others.
  • No towel service will be available.
  • Water refill stations will not be available for personal water bottle refills. (disposable cups provided)
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE POOL

All visits to the pool will require an appointment.

POOL GUIDELINES
  • Hours:
    Monday - Friday
    6:00 am - 6:00 pm
  • Multiple lanes will be available for appointment for water walking, lap swimming, and water exercise.
  • Available by appointment for members only at this time. No temporary memberships, guest passes, or nationwide memberships.
  • Members who have made an appointment will be asked to park and enter through the back door pool entrance on the north side of the facility.
  • No towel service available, please bring your own. One family changing room with a shower will be available for changing, but we ask that members do not shower unless absolutely necessary.
  • Members who make an appointment will only be allowed on the pool deck. Only one family changing room on the pool deck will be available for changing and restroom.
  • Locker rooms, steam room, sauna, and hot tub will remain closed.
  • No rec swim available at this time.

Even though the YMCA facilities are closed at this time, we want to provide a fun family activity for our community. On May 15 we will be opening our mini-golf course and outdoor batting cages with special hours and guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy while still being able to get out and have fun!

MINI-GOLF & BATTING CAGES GUIDELINES:
  • Hours:
    Friday: 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
    Saturday - Sunday: 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm
  • Only 4 people per group allowed with the exception of a single-family household.
  • Only one person from your party will be asked to check in, pay, and distribute balls to your group from the mini-golf shack.
  • Only 9 groups are allowed on the course at once. Marked areas will be designated for groups who are waiting.
  • Groups must stay at least 10 feet away from other groups. Please do not take your time on holes or, crowd, or take your time on the course.
  • Participants will not be allowed to congregate on the mini-golf patio
  • No concessions will be available
  • Scorecards and pencils will be available and a drop off location will be assigned for pencils to be sanitized.
  • Batting Cages: Must bring your own equipment.

By entering our facility you are acknowledging that there are many cases of COVID-19 spread throughout the state of Nebraska. The Hastings YMCA is following the most recent guidelines and protocols released by the South Heartland District Health Department. All visitors of the Hastings YMCA acknowledge and agree to these guidelines and understand utilizing our facilities will require all visitors to adhere to these guidelines. As always, the risk of contracting the virus is still a possibility when out in the public and all visitors of the YMCA are entering at their own risk.
