At the YMCA we want to help make sure the youth in our community are healthy, and a big part of that begins with an active lifestyle! We have some great ways for you to get out and active at the YMCA along with opportunities for the whole family!

Family Fitness
Family Fitness Classes

Every Saturday we will be holding fitness classes for the entire family! Our family fitness classes are a great way to stay active and have some fun, quality time with your family! The class will vary on each Saturday. Stay updated on the class schedule on our Facebook page!

Youth Equipment Orientation
Youth Equipment Orientation:

Youth ages 11 – 13 years of age will receive instruction on Wellness Center safety and etiquette as well as proper use of cardio and weight equipment, learn what a workout should look like and how to create your own, as well as various fitness aspects! Upon completion of equipment orientation, youth are permitted to use all wellness areas with an adult. Youth will be asked to complete a minimum of 3 training session in order to be able to use the wellness areas. Parents must attend the first session.

  • February 25 - March 7
  • April 8 - April 19
  • May 13 - May 23
  • June 17 - June 28
  • July 16 - July 25
  • September 9 - September 20
  • October 21 - November 1

Youth Training


Caleb is a certified personal trainer through the NSCA. He has his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science along with a minor in nutrition from Wayne St. College. Caleb played football at Morningside College and moved on to play semi-professional football.

Caleb has spent the past few years specializing in youth fitness training and will make programs specifically designed for you. “With my sports background, I enjoy working with athletes to increase sports performance.”

Youth training at the YMCA is a great way to increase sports performance or all in-season and off-season athletes. Trained youth fitness specialist, Caleb Hahne will work with your youth to ensure that they stay on top of their game.

Speed & Agility


Join us for Speed & Agility taught by youth fitness specialist, Caleb Hahne! The goal is to increase speed, quickness, coordination, and flexibility. Multiple drills will be done each session that will focus on accomplishing these goals to maximize sports performance.

Includes a free screening from Hastings Physical Therapy!

The Functional Movement Screen test seven fundamental movement patterns that are key to identifying your functional movement quality. The process provides a reliable baseline for actionable and effective steps to improve your performance and recovery. The FMS screen is currently used by professional organizations such as the NFL and NBA.
