Couch Potato Triathlon

The Hastings Family YMCA announces its Couch Potato Triathlon, beginning January 28, 2008.

The Couch Potato Triathlon is a six-week fitness incentive program that requires participants to finish an Ironman Triathlon. Each participant must complete 2.4 miles of swimmin, 112 miles of cycling and 26.2 miles of running in order to "win" the triathlon. Youth ages 12 and younger may complete a half Ironman.

Upon registration, participants will receive a tracking log to keep track of their daily activity. Once they have completed their log, it will be returned to the YMCA Welcome Center. Participants have until March 10, 2008 to complete the triathlon.

Each participant completing the triathlon will receive a long-sleeved tee shirt.
