YMCA ANNOUNCES KRINGS AS NEW CEO
The Hastings Family YMCA announces the appointment of Michael Krings as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 15, 2007.
Krings was formerly the Recreation Superintendent of the City of Hastings Department of Parks and Recreation.
“Mr. Krings brings an extensive résumé of achievement and organization execution. He has demonstrated interest in non-profit management through his tenure as President of the Board of Directors of CASA and his volunteerism through other charities and public interest functions. We are pleased to have a person of his caliber to lead us to the next chapter in our history,” said Brent Gollner, Hastings Family YMCA Board of Directors President.
Michael Krings is a 2000 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration. He earned a Masters degree in education form the University of Alabama in 2002. Krings is married and resides in Hastings with his wife and two children.
A press conference to introduce Krings took place Friday, August 31, 2007 at 10 a.m. in the Hastings Family YMCA 16th Street Meeting Room.
